Samme … I love this! I am so glad that you posted this here (as well as your involvement on Facebook!!!)

I agree with Sylvia … we need to encourage the structure of playgrounds for EVERYONE!!! I think it can become a reality! I have never stopped playing on playgrounds! My favorites are the swings! I am happy to say that I can still jump off! I also love the slides and the climbing structures! OK … you got me - I’ll do the merry-go-round with you Samme!

Safety is important on playgrounds! Kids need to be supervised. Accidents happen and so do strange people who prey on children. Always make sure your child has a trusted adult or older kid who takes them to the playground!
(sorry to have to be the reminder of this)

You have a great point Sylvia about playground for adults in the park.  A lot of kids tend to outgrow those tiny slides in the parks.  If they make them “one size fits all” (lol) then adults will release their inner child and play with the kids.  We are all kids at heart if we just let ourselves be.

Yes you have a wonderful point Peri.  I’ll do the merry-go-round with you.  I remember when I was a kid I went down the slide with the soles of my leather shoes sliding down the slide.  Well I hit a rough spot and I ended up doing like the pinwheel on the slide.  Whew, scary moments.  Your reminders are sure important and must be taken seriously by adults and kids need to be taught of safety in playgrounds and with dealing with strangers.

Thank you Peri and Sylvia for playing in the playground with me.  : )
