Samme : 'S Wonderful CANON CAMERA

CANON CAMERA

Posted on May 7th, 2008 by Samme : 'S Wonderful Samme
I am surprised!  I could have never imagined this what I am going to tell you.  Because of my blog below i got contacted by a Canon PR representative thru email saying that I am going to receive a "free gift" which is a Canon digital camera EOS Rebel xsi and a telefoto lens.  I thought it is one of those hoax on the internet or those stuff where you will be shown all these products and services hoping that you will buy or sign up in all those.  I have tried those before and given up and just close the browser because the products and services being shown does not seem to end.  I thought, " Okay am i going to receive a free laptop or what?"  I was going to delete the email and report as spam but something told me not to.  But anyway, the 12.2 megapixel Canon camera and telefoto lens arrived on my doorstep without me having to buy anything.  It says it's because of my blog which is below this one that I am promoting creativity and photography.  Well I responded I said it's not even popular.  They said it's not about popularity but in doing what the heart desires no matter if others are going to appreciate it or not.  They got my email address from my profile page at Facebook because I also have a link to my Facebook account on my page here at Gaia.  I am so speechless and happy.  Now I am going to promote creativity and photography even more.  And of course, Canon cameras.  Thank you!  I am cool with that.  Hey if you received a free gift like that wouldn't you promote them?  I would!  Wohooooooooo!  Thank you friends,
Samme

P.S.  I also asked how did they find my small blog.  The answer is thru "tags".  Folks, there is a science and art of tagging.  Learn about it.  I was at the bookshop and saw this book about tagging two weeks ago.  My friend said, "Now why will you waste your money on buying a book about something as simple as tagging?"  I am a passionate learner.  I even buy those books on Ipod for Dummies and Zune for Dummies even though I already know how to work them.  My thing is, I want to harness to the max what I might be able to learn from those books.  Also I have the Facebook for Dummies, even though I know how to set up my profile page at Facebook.  But come to find out there are lots of stuff I do not know yet and would have never learned of it if I did not read the book.   I listen to my heart.

My 'ex' had a cannon digital Rebel and purchased an attaching telephoto lens for it.  Not sure of the 'model', but it's when they were first introduced.  We had sooooo much fun with it.  I LOVED it and the AWESOME pix it took.  I'm happy for you (and a bit jealous as I realllyyyyy miss that camera!!!!)  Have lots of fun with it!

cheers,Nichol

PS  I've taken a few photos for your May photo challenge with my little cheapo digital that I now have, but have yet to post them.  Thanks for coming up with this fun May photo idea though as it's making me get out there again and just explore through a lens again (even though it's not as fun to take pix without the Rebel and the quality that I have with  the cheapo is not so hot).

Kudos, Samme! Well deserved and thanks for sharing the benefits of tagging, though I have yet to win a prize for doing so - he, he!

I need to download my new pics from my digital camera so I will pop in at your blog to drop some, hopefully gems.

Wish you more surprises ahead!

Hugs and smiles

Oh this is heart-filling!  :)  I'm so happy for you Samme!  And I'm also dancing-happy for the Cannon folk who reached out to you, especially for their comment that it's not about how big the project is or how popular you are (although it's such a well-known fact that WE, your friends, adore you!) but it IS about using their tools to do work that is truly from the heart.   There is Wisdom there, Samme!  We are connected to those folks at Cannon who are thinking along the lines of getting their tools out there to change the world in ways that the heart takes the lead on, and their products become part of the leading edge of change in the world, of positive building of a new Way of Life.  And in that scenario, I think the business futures are about as auspicious as they can get!  My best wishes for your heart work to both you and Cannon!

Oh, and I've got to apologize, I got very, very busy, but I WILL Samme, I WILL take those pictures, I promise!  :)
