In Memory Of...,

This is for our friend Buddingspritelet, whose sister Andrea transitioned on to the next life. Our prayers are with you and to Andrea.
About one and a half year ago, I created a pod called Zaadz Memorial when Gaia used to be Zaadz. It is a pod where we can memorialized our loved ones who transitioned on to the next life. I deleted the pod because I thought that it will be too depressing for some but now would like to revisit that concept, if you will, because it is a fact of life and it might help our friends to be able to deal with their feelings a little. So now instead of putting up a new pod just for the idea, I created a new board in my Booklovers pod so that members can, if they choose to, to create an online altar or their sacred space. The new Gaia Memorial is at the bottom of the list of boards if you want to visit it. Namaste.

Many tears we have cried
To our loved ones

Due to the loss of a
Baby sister
She needs comforting
Although our friendship
Is virtual

Touching lives and hearts

And yet thru our heartaches
We still learned to transcend
The mundane and the
Transitoriness our lives contain
In our sorrow we still play
Dryad has given us a way
A way of life to live and love
In sorrow we still play
'Cause up above our
Beloved ones come what may
Are dancing together
And saying, look our families
Have gotten together
Thru their virtual friendships
We in heaven
Have come together
And we are looking after them
And will greet them
When it's their time to be here
We will play
As always
Come what may.

Sprite is my main play-mate here on gaia/zaadz … She and I have played many games and adventures between our blogs, our “thoughtful” places and within Play Pod on many of the boards, various threads … you will see us playing together (with a few others too!!!) … I consider her to be my “Sister in Play” and with her sister, Andrea's transition… passing … death - I'm grieving strongly for and with her …
Thank you dear Samme, for alerting us about your place to pay homage and to aid in the grief process.
Dryad also has established a thread on Play Pod for Sprite and Andrea. Please share a thought there … as it a place that Sprite visits frequently.

Thank you, Samme, for this lovely tribute. I am just now finding my way back to gaia/zaadz and to your blog and I am so touched by the outpouring of love. I thank all of you for posting here and holding me during this time.
I am sure Andrea is touched by all this, I love the idea of a shrine, and I know she will lead me.
