ALL ABOARD!!!

The Love Boat by Paul Williams and Charles Fox - The Love Boat Lyrics

Love, exciting and new
Come Aboard. We're expecting you.
Love, life's sweetest reward.
Let it flow, it floats back to you.

Love Boat soon will be making another run
The Love Boat promises something for everyone
Set a course for adventure,
Your mind on a new romance.

Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.
Yes LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! (hey-ah!)

Love Boat soon will be making another run
The Love Boat promises something for everyone
Set a course for adventure,
Your mind on a new romance.

Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.
It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!
It's LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! It's LOOOOOOOOOOOVE!
It's the Love Boat-ah! It's the Love Boat-ah!

Are you onboard love?

Yep I love those times with Love Boat, Eight Is Enough, and other shows.

My coworker went on a cruise and she found out that those workers at the cruise lines are getting paid under minimum wage.

This brings back some memories, Samme.  The Love Boat promises something for everyone.  That sounds like a good way to start December!  Thank you for posting.

Hi, I'm Julie McCoy, Cruise Director….let me how you to your cabin. And if you're cute, maybe I'll stay in the cabin with you….

Oh wait, she didn't say that, did she?

I used to love that show….Julie, Doc, Captain, etc. What a cast!  And how about Love, American Style. Remember that one? And what about Fantasy Island? That was a trip….  A plane, a plane!

Lol, yeah I was thinking De Plane De plane as well and then I realized it was in fact Fantasy Island not Love Boat I was remembering.
Hey maybe we can all call in sick, lay around on the couch, eat beef-a-roni out of a can and watch reruns from the 70's?
I'm sure MASH is still playing somewhere.

Doug, I loooooved Fantasy Island too! Dang those were some great shows!

Mash, though….ewww…the moment I heard the theme song I wanted to puke and I always changed the channel. :-D
That still goes into today, and yes, it's still on cable tv!

OK Ariela, MASH is out then, no MASH, no Hemmingway “Farewell to Arms”,” For whom the bell tolls”, no WAR just Love movies, TV show reruns, Tales of the city or was that Tails? well that's in, right?
Oh yeah that was about the 70's but it wasn't made then.
What else?
Kung Fu?
Well here you go, the list of 70's shows.
You pick.

Oh wow, Dougie!
FINALLY, you've made sense out of why that show and theme song made me wanna puke!
I never realized it was because it was about WAR!!!
Hey, Healing comes anytime and anyplace! :-D

And oh yeah…there was Mission Impossible :-D

OMG I remember Isis (Oh mighty Isis of Egypt).
But there was one show I forgot the title.  It is a comedy with women waitresses in a restaurant in a big building.  Part of the theme song goes, “let your show, let your love flow, let your love shine”.  Do you remember it Doug.
Never seen M*A*S*H.  My brother sent me a MASH tshirt when I was little.
Hey the list does not have James at 15, James at 16, James at 17    LOL

Was that Alice?

Wow, and we went from this in the 60’s to this in the 70’s, but I guess some things never go out of style?

Oh yeah, Doug. It was “de plane,” not “a plane.”  LOL!

And yeah, R1, you're right….she really didn't have to say it. :)

Anyone out there like Mission Impossible? That was one of my all-time faves. I loved the opening scene where the mission was explained (and the tape self-destructed) and then when members of the team wore and then removed those masks. (skip to 1:32 to see it)… Loved it!!!

Wait for me! Whew, I'm on board, over and under board…..

Loved Kung Fu, Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Three's Company, Different Strokes (love Arnold and can still picture his wise cracks), and many more.  TV seemed much more fun and enriching back then!

Thanks Samme for the taking us back to wonderful times in our lives!
