REBEL REBEL

FACT: I only discovered that I can grow my facial hair like this when I was over thirty years old.  I always shaved everyday and never knew that it could grow like this.  This is one of my many looks that I don't sport that much.  Some of my friends don't like my facial hair as they are not accustomed to seeing it.  What is that name of one of the three musketeers that my facial hair resembled?  I may shaved this soon.  My face is a mess.   LOL  This song is one of my favorites and could be a theme song in my biomovie.  I love David Bowie too.

A DREAM FULFILLED

Posted on Nov 4th, 2008 by Samme : Prince of Rainbows<3 Samme

A DREAM FULFILLED

a poem written by Samme S. Samareta
on the night of November 4, 2008
directly on the Gaia.com blog
dedicated to the hearts and souls
of every man and woman living and dead
and dedicated to President Barack Obama

Thank you for the dream

The dream that was once deferred

The dream that is now no longer a dream

A dream that is now fulfilled

They say this dream

Is an impossible dream

But no star is unreachable

Everyone is teachable

To the ways of the heart and soul

Everyone is able

Go tell it to the mountain

Because their eyes were watching god

Mountain high, river deep, valley low

Swing high, sweet chariot

The promised land is not a land

It is a heart of a man or a woman

This time of a man who will lead us

To change and give us new hope

Go set the table for we will dine

We’re all one and all is fine

We will sit with the spirits of those

Who came before us

Who sadly perished

Who built the foundations of this nation

Along with the indigenous peoples

Who worked and toiled this soil

Who breathed the same air

That they even want to sell

Come let us sit among kindred

The souls of black folks

Nameless faces

Forgotten tribes and races

Erased traditions and communications

Still they rise

Tubman, Dubois, Harriett Beecher Stowe

Langston Hughes, Frederick Douglass,

John Brown, James Baldwin

Rosa Parks, Malcolm X,

Martin Luther King, Jr.

who ignited the dream

Countless dead folks

And living people

I am the dream

You are the dream

We are the dream

Together as one

We will make it

A reality.

The Divinity Within Me Bows To The Divinity Within You

Posted on Nov 5th, 2008 by Samme : Prince of Rainbows<3 Samme
Gods_and_goddesses

Acccording to an old Hindu legend there was a time when all men were gods and all women were goddesses, but they so abused their divinity that Brahma, the chief god, decided to take it away from men and women and hide it where they would never again find it.  Where to hide it became the big question.

When the lesser gods and goddesses were called in council to consider this question, they said, "We will bury their divinity deep in the earth."  But Brahma said, "No, that will not do, for they will dig deep down into the earth and find it."

Then they said, "Well, we will sink their divinity into the deepest ocean."  But again Brahma replied, "No, not there, for men and women will learn to dive deep into the deepest waters, will search out the ocean bed, and will find it."

Then the lesser gods said, "We will take it to the top of the highest mountain and there hide it."  But again Brahma replied, "No, for they will eventually climb every high mountain on earth.  They will be sure some day to find it and take it up again for themselves."

Then the lesser gods gave up and concluded, "We do not know where to hide it, for it seems there is no place on earth or in the sea that humankind will not eventually reach."

Then Brahma said, "Here is what we will do with humanity's divinity.  We will hide it deep down in man himself and in women herself, for they will never think to look for it there."  Ever since then, the legend concludes, man has been going up and down the earth, climbing, digging, diving, exploring, searching for something that is already in themselves.

GATHER THE WOMEN BLOG SERIES: JEAN SHINODA BOLEN

[collage details]

Dear Friends,  Welcome all men and women.  In this Gather The Women Blog Series I will be featuring several leading edge thinkers for self-transformation and world transformation.  First in the series is Jean Shinoda Bolen who is the author of among several books:

Goddesses in Everywoman: Powerful Archetypes in Women's Lives

Gods In Everyman Reissue: Archetypes That Shape Men's Lives

Goddesses in Older Women: Archetypes in Women Over Fifty

Urgent Message from Mother: Gather the Women, Save the World

This is an open invitation to all for a Gaia gathering for a transformative dialog, open communication and to become a part of the greatest arising of women's wisdom ever known to humankind and womankind.

Message from Mother Earth. Call all the women.

The message to all women of the world is "Wake Up! Arise! Do not ask for permission to gather the women. What cannot be done by men, or by individual women, can be done by women together. Earth is Home."

Jean Shinoda Bolen's life's work - her Jungian-inspired insights in The Tao of Psychology, the blockbuster Goddesss in Every Woman, the empowering Crones Don't Whine and The Millionth Circle - all lead up to this message. It is an urgent message and an empowering one. "When women are strong together, women can be fiercely protective of what we love." Bolen’s poetic polemic explores the psychological, spiritual, and scientific aspects of women as collaborators for change. She begins with a Jungian examination of the idea of the Holy Grail archetype as "every woman’s secret" and the transformative power of the sacred feminine—the Goddess, Gaia, Earth Mother.

Bolen explains Rupert Sheldrake’s Theory of Morphic Resonance, which describes how societies and even species can undergo rapid evolution when they reach a tipping point. She explains that "we’ve learned that women gathering together in groups and telling the truth of their lives can actually change the world." She points to a fascinating UCLA study proving that women react to stress differently than their male counterparts. Instead of the "fight or flight" reaction, women have a "tend and befriend" response as a result of an increase in oxytocin, the maternal bonding hormone. While men become more adrenalized and aggressive, women nurture and protect—biologically. From this and other compelling evidence Bolen makes a strongly convincing case that now is the time for women to lead—to fiercely protect all that we love.

What is your relationship to waiting?

Posted on Nov 9th, 2008 by Samme : Prince of Rainbows<3 Samme
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for November 06, 2008:

We are the ones we have been waiting for.
Waiting done, I've arrived (in love)!
: )

When my coffin is being taken out; you must never think I am missing this world…
don’t shed any tears; don’t lament or feel sorry
I’m not falling into a monster’s abyss.

When you see my corpse is being carried…don’t cry for my leaving.
I’m not leaving; I’m arriving at eternal love.

When you leave me in the grave; don’t say goodbye
Remember a grave is only a curtain for the paradise behind.
You’ll only see me descending into a grave; now watch me rise
how can there be an end when the sun sets or
the moon goes down it looks like the end; it seems like a sunset
but in reality it is a dawn.

When the grave locks you up; that is when your soul is freed

Have you ever seen a seed fallen to earth
not rise with a new life; why should you doubt the rise of a seed named human

have you ever seen a bucket lowered into a well
coming back empty;
why lament for a soul when for the last time you close your mouth your words and and soul will be freed
- Rumi

Rather, pray for the dead and ask God to forgive them.

GATHER THE WOMEN BLOG SERIES: MIRIAM MAKEBA

Posted on Nov 10th, 2008 by Samme : Prince of Rainbows<3 Samme
Gather_the_women_blog_series_featuring_miriam_makeba

Third in the series of Gather The Women Blog Series is a World Music singer from South Africa who passed on this morning from a heart attack at 76 years of age in Naples, Italy.  She was born on 4th March 1932.

Zenzile Miriam Makeba collapsed on stage after singing Pata Pata in an open air concert at Castel Vuorno, Italy.

Dr Miriam Makeba never forgot her struggle through her life, and never stopped identifying with those who were downtrodden and who suffered. An activist to the end, the event where she was performing at, was an Anti-Racism and Anti-Mafia Event. “Mazi” as she was affectionately known by those who knew her well, never shied from speaking her mind and standing for her beliefs. She was an outstanding South African, a and indeed a gracious and true citizen of the World.

"She was the "mother of our struggle" and "South Africa's first lady of song"
~ Nelson Mandela

"Throughout her life, Mama Makeba communicated a positive message to the world about the struggle of the people of South Africa and the certainty of victory over the dark forces of apartheid and colonialism through the art of song."
~ South African Foreign Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma

In 1963, Makeba appeared before the UN Special Committee on Apartheid to call for an international boycott of South Africa.

The South African government responded by banning her records, including Pata Pata and the Click Song.

"You sing about those things that surround you," she said. "Our surrounding has always been that of suffering from apartheid and the racism that exists in our country. So our music has to be affected by all that."

~ Miriam Makeba

Makeba became a symbol of the fight against apartheid and spent three decades abroad after South Africa's government revoked her passport.

"Her music inspired a powerful sense of hope in all of us. Even after she returned home she continued to use her name to make a difference by mentoring musicians and supporting struggling young women."

~ Nelson Mandela

Miriam Makeba is fondly known as Mama Africa.

2008: Dies in Caserta, Italy following a concert, aged 76

Makeba announced her retirement three years ago, but despite a series of farewell concerts she never stopped performing.

When she turned 75 last year, she said she would sing for as long as possible.

In recent years, she has been a "goodwill ambassador" for South Africa and for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. In March this year, she highlighted the plight of woman victims of sexual violence during a visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In one of her last interviews, in May 2008 with the British music critic Robin Denselow, she said she found her concerts in the United States being cancelled. “It was not a ban from the government. It was a cancellation by people who felt I should not be with Stokely because he was a rebel to them. I didn’t care about that. He was somebody I loved, who loved me, and it was my life,” she said.

“I’m not a political singer. I don’t know what the word means. People think I consciously decided to tell the world what was happening in South Africa. No! I was singing about my life, and in South Africa we always sang about what was happening to us — especially the things that hurt us.”

~ Miriam Makeba

Thank you Mama Africa

What if our sun has a smaller companion sun (star) that is just circling around it?  Well we would not know about it or would see it if it is always behind the sun whenever the earth revolves around the sun, would we?  I wonder how a scientist will be able to prove or discover the mathematical process of such a theory?  Too far-fetch do you think?  Just my radical musings for today.

REPEAL PROP. 8 SIGN THE PLEDGE TO BUILD THE MARRIAGE EQUALITY

Posted on Nov 12th, 2008 by Samme : Prince of Rainbows<3 Samme
Repeal_prop_8 We_the_people_of_the_world
I have volunteered several years ago in the No On Knight Campaign, the initiative that would like to ban same-sex marriages.  And now with the passing of Proposition 8 here in California I am going out there again and volunteer as they are trying to repeal the passing of Prop. 8 which took away the right to marry for same-sex couples in our state.  I do not want to go on and on with my disappointments but I have high hopes that this will be turned around.
Sign  the pledge to repeal Prop 8 and restore marriage equality to California here now by clicking this link.

Repeal Prop 8: Restore marriage equality to California

Sign the pledge to build the Marriage Equality Movement

The birth of a new Marriage Equality Movement -- the civil rights movement of the 21st Century -- is unfolding before our eyes.

Movements are visceral and popular, often borne of outrage and anger. What we are witnessing on the streets and online is a community of people who have come together to say: "These are our lives. This is our time. This is unacceptable." Organized from the bottom-up by thousands of ordinary people just like you, this people-powered phenomenon is exponentially growing by the minute, online and offline.

This is our moment to stand strong together -- gay and straight -- and say that we refuse to accept a California where discrimination is enshrined in our state constitution. Please show your support by pledging to support our campaign to repeal Prop 8 and restore marriage equality to California.

Please sign the pledge to repeal Prop 8 -- then forward this link to your friends:

NO on Prop 8 Campaign Leaders Call on Community to Stand Together

Top leaders from the NO on Prop 8 campaign today issued the following statement urging leaders in the community to stand together following the passage of Prop 8.

“This has been an incredibly difficult week for Californians who are disappointed in the passage of Proposition 8, which takes away the right to marry for same-sex couples in our state. We feel a profound sense of disappointment in this defeat, but know that in order to move forward we must continue to stand together as one community in order to secure full equality in California.

“In working to defeat Prop 8, a profound coalition banded together to fight for equality. Faith leaders, labor, teachers, civil rights leaders and communities of color, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, public officials, local school boards and city councils, parents, corporate law firms and bar associations, businesses, and people from all walks of life joined together to stand up against discrimination. We must build on this coalition in order to achieve equal rights for all Californians.

“We achieve nothing if we isolate the people who did not stand with us in this fight. We only further divide our state if we attempt to blame people of faith, African American voters, rural communities and others for this loss. We know people of all faiths, races and backgrounds stand with us in our fight to end discrimination, and will continue to do so. Now more than ever it is critical that we work together and respect our differences that make us a diverse and unique society. Only with that understanding will we achieve justice and equality for all.”

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement regarding the passage of California Proposition 8:

“I am deeply disappointed by the passage of Proposition 8. This ballot measure takes away individual rights and freedoms, and is rooted in the politics of division.

“The passage of this measure diminishes the California Constitution. We must continue to fight for equal treatment of all of California’s citizens and families. I strongly support the legal challenges underway to halt this dangerous revision of our State Constitution.”

A California embarrassment

La Opinión | LINK TO ARTICLE

The election in California had two faces. One is pride that a large majority voted for the man who would be the first African-American president of the United States. The second is the embarrassment of changing the Constitution to impose restrictions on the rights of a minority in California.

Proposition 8 Vote Disappointing, Shows Great 8-Year Progress

California Voters Have Moved Significantly on Issue of Equality, NO on Prop 8 Campaign was Historic, Broad Coalition Effort Across State

SAN FRANCISCO – NO on Prop 8 campaign leaders today expressed deep disappointment with the passage of Proposition 8, which takes away the right of same-sex couples to marry in California. Although final ballots still continue to be counted during the next 30 days, campaign leaders do not believe those votes will be enough to overcome the small deficit of no votes needed to prevent Prop 8 from passing.

Statement by No on Prop 8 Campaign on Election Status

Roughly 400,000 votes separate yes from no on Prop 8 – out of 10 million votes tallied.

Based on turnout estimates reported yesterday, we expect that there are more than 3 million and possibly as many as 4 million absentee and provisional ballots yet to be counted.

Given that fundamental rights are at stake, we must wait to hear from the Secretary of State tomorrow how many votes are yet to be counted as well as where they are from.

It is clearly a very close election and we monitored the results all evening and this morning.

As of this point, the election is too close to call.

Because Prop 8 involves the sensitive matter of individual rights, we believe it is important to wait until we receive further information about the outcome.

Crop Circles: Hard Evidence
Freddy Silva

Now we know that for some people, the subject of Crop Circles raises eyebrows and even a few giggles. After watching this interview, I doubt there will be anyone who could say this is the subject of hallucination or fantasy, there is just too much information documented to disprove them.

Freddy Silva
is one of the world's leading experts on crop circles and best-selling
author of Secrets in the Fields, hailed by many as the most
comprehensive book ever written on this multi-disciplinary phenomenon.
He is also a leading researcher into the interaction between temples
and consciousness, and recently directed the documentaries "Stairways
To Heaven" and "In The Footsteps Of Isis".

He has made keynote presentations at the International Science and
Consciousness Conference, and the International Society for the Study
of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine earned him a standing ovation.
Freddy has appeared on The History Channel, Discovery Channel, BBC, Art
Bell, and Whitley Streiber's Dreamland.

AWAKENING & EMPOWERMENT SERIES: STEVEN HAIRFIELD

A&E, no it's not arts and entertainment although it can be.  I present to you my new blog series Awakening & Empowerment Series featuring modern movers and shakers in the field of new paradigm pushing the human consciousness forward into awakening and enlightenment.  There's a lot to read and long videos and many of them to watch but you will be rewarded with your own light and realizations.  Let's go on this journey together and dialog.

A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible

In this with Steven Hairfield, he continues to discuss Jesus' metaphysical roots and how Christianity was distorted.

Steven says that probably the most profound text that ever came out of that time was the Gospel of Thomas, which was deleted/omitted from the Bible, but has now been published.

To connect with Steven directly, go to www.hairfield.com/

The Road to Enlightenment

Steven Hairfield didn't wait for his graduation ceremony. Although he knew he had graduated, he couldn't wait to leave his home life and go to Vietnam where he became an explosives expert. Juxtaposed to the madness of war, which he describes as being 'hectic', he found peace within a local Zen Buddhist monastery in Quang Ngai. The monks began to insist that he should learn of Issa. He then learned that Issa was in fact, Jesus. He later learned that Issa had spent much time in what is now known today as India, Pakistan, Ladak, Nepal, and Tibet before returning to the Middle East to carry out His mission.

This lead to a lifetime of discovery and self knowing, finding his Tibetan Master teachers in India, returning to America to receive a B.A. in Psychology, then an M.A. in Religion and Theology, becoming quite interested and fascinated by the field of Metaphysics in the process.

He has recently released his best work of all “A Metaphysical Interpretation of the Bible”. This book answers the mysteries of the Bible and the Master Himself. It is based on 37 years of thorough research that led him all over the world.

Dr. Hairfield continues his writing, counseling, his lecture and workshop tours, and has even released two CD’s the first is the “Seven Essene Mirrors of Relationship” and

The Power of Thought”. There are also many of his seminars that are available as downloads from his web site. He resides in Reno, Nevada in the high Sierra Mountains.

Ariela and I are musing about why are there a lot of objects all over the earth and universe that is "round" or round-like and I am thinking why are a lot of objects in space moves in a circle.  Gravity of course but still why???

And now an amateur astronomer had discovered a Bubble Nebula...,

See Explanation. Clicking on the picture will download the highest resolution version available.

No folks that is not a photoshopped image.  It is confirmed true from other high-powered telescopes and by NASA.  Here is another picture,

That is just beautiful, everything is beautiful, just beautiful and amazing!!!

This is the picture from the amateur astronomer who spotted it first before the experts did.
