BOOKS FOR PEACE PROJECT
I know this is already being done but a good idea should be copied by everybody. This is another project I would like to do. The idea is I will leave a book of mine that I already read in a public place for somebody else to pick up. I will paste a label inside the book that says "this book has been left here for anybody to pick up and read. After reading it please leave it again in a public place." Now I will include my zaadz address on that label asking them to go to my zaadz profile page, click on the "BOOKS FOR PEACE PROJECT" on the profile page which will lead them here to this blog entry. And here they can make comments about the book and in time other people who pick up the book will be posting. It's also a good marketing idea to get people to discover zaadz albeit slowly and not only that it might inspire them to do other ideas that will benefit their community and the world. Here is a sample of a notice that I will make to print and paste in the inside page of the book.
Namaste! I left this book here for anybody to pick up and read. Feel free to take it with you if you like the book and read. When you finished reading the book let me know what your thoughts are about it by going to this internet page, sign up at http://www.zaadz.com/ and then go http://princesamwise.zaadz.com and click on the "BOOKS FOR PEACE PROJECT" link and then click on the "add comment button". Please write which book you have picked up and which general area are you in when you picked up the book. I would like to know what places this book have gone. When you are done with the book please leave it again in a public place. Thank you!

have you seen www.bookcrossing.com?
It exists specifically for the purpose of releasing books into the wild for other people.
Namaste! Yes, I have and I signed up there too. I saw their ad in Mental Floss. The reason why I want to do it here is so that I can centralize my internet activities here at zaadz. And besides like I mentioned that whoever can pick it up can become a member of zaadz as well. This is just a little project I want to do and if other zaadz members will try it then we can increase membership in one way or the other and who knows what other things this act can do to the world. I need to update my message above to include that they need to go to www.zaadz.com to sign up in order to be able to post a comment if they have picked up one of the books. Thank you!
What a great idea! I did leave a book for bookcrossing.com and always wondered where it went! But I like your idea for Zaadz! I think I will try it also!

hello ben okri ;P I just love his books…
Love this idea! I will do this this week. It will be interresting to see what happens, or rather, IF anything happens (given the area where I live?!?!)
We need this idea in Sri Lanka ~ particularly for kids and teens. Poor people who love reading ~ it's just that too few have the money to buy books. Our school has a book donation program. Just a thought ~ how about kids/teens books with the Zaadzter message being placed inside the front cover, shipped in a M-bag (I can show you how - I've done 5 of them) to our school - I would see to it personally that they get into our school library (www.allnations.lk) , orphanage, etc.
Peace and love always ~

My first novel at www.BeWhoYouAre.com (free online) has this idea written into the end of the story itself. You'll have to read it to find out, but I put 1,000 copies out there, for free (before it was free on the internet), and now it is out in three languages, and distributed in nine countries. Not bad for a private label! I like the idea of doing this at Zaadzter, so I'm with you! Blessings, Robin
Samwise, you are indeed divine.
At your recommendation, I read Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein, which transformed for my world view. It was liberating, entertaining and enlightening.
Thank you for acting dharmically.
May that which guides karma, grant you all that you desire, and allow you to reach life's highest goal.
Om shanti, my water brother. I grok you fully.
Thou art God, Robin.
Can you mention all the places where you first left a book,..and also the names of the books?
This is an awesome idea and I would like to adopt it soon:-)
Samme / Robin /All,
what a great plan only problem for me out here in Africa is that books are so difficult to find. So if anyone wants to donate a few books I will get it started here in Malawi.
Much Love
